Last minute changes...

No matter how good the plan, you gotta stay flexible!! My 'plan' had been to get my assistant's replacement hired at least two weeks before the road trip; that way he/she could be up to speed and hold the fort while I was on the road...lucky for me there are some inept people in the process that didn't get the job posted for an additional six weeks and delayed the closing and are now delaying the actual report date until well after I get back...like two months after I get back!! I hate the thought of having to do the extra work and trying to keep the office functional while I'm gone...yuk!

On the bright side, we actually did get a good person hired (although the paperwork is yet to be completed!) and I'm happy about that! So, at least I'll be able to get the office back to normal...eventually.

Everything should be set for the trip/reunion; I'm hoping to stop by and visit with Vance & Sebastian (guessing Jody will be at work) on my way to Portland on the 11th. Overnight with Barrie & Debbie Swain, then on to Boise on the 12th. Plan to stop and see Emily, Dusty and their tribe on the way. I need to be in Park City, Utah on the afternoon of the 13th, (work for a couple days) then pick up Noreen in Salt Lake City on the 15th. We will leave Park City on the morning of the 17th and stay overnight somewhere around Jackson, WY. then Yellowstone on the 18th, Missoula on the 19th, Sandpoint on the 20th and Priest Lake on the 21st! Three days of visiting with family, telling old stories (as best we can remember them!) and meeting all the grand nieces & nephews! This will be the best reunion ever!! Off to Bellingham to catch the ferry home then back to the old grindstone!

I'm hoping that I won't get any tickets on this trip; it's such a big deal that people are taking bets and the odds aren't in my favor!! :)
